Who we are

Five Square is an Android game studio from Vervelio, based in Detroit, Michigan, US. This policy covers the website fivesquare.pro and the Android games we publish on Google Play. Contact for anything privacy-related: scott@fivesquare.pro.

What we collect on this website

Sign-ups

When you join the founder list, the closed test or a game waitlist, we receive your email address and, if you choose to give it, your phone model. We also receive the arcade tokens and achievement count you earned here, so we can turn them into launch rewards. This arrives in our studio inbox as an email.

Analytics

We use Vercel Web Analytics and Speed Insights to count page views, which sections and games get used, and how fast pages load. They do not use cookies, do not build a profile of you, and report aggregated numbers only.

On your device

Your scores, tokens, achievements, light or dark theme and sound settings are saved in your browser's local storage. They never leave your device unless you sign up (tokens and achievement count only) or submit a leaderboard score with your three-letter initials.

Leaderboards

If shared leaderboards are switched on, the scores you submit are stored with the initials you type. Initials are public on the leaderboard; please don't use your real name.

Server logs

Our host, Vercel, keeps standard technical logs (such as IP address and browser type) for security and reliability, for a short period.

What we do not do

We do not sell your data, we do not use advertising cookies on this website, and we do not share your email with anyone except the services that deliver it to us. Fonts and images are served from our own domain, not third-party font services.

Our Android games

None of our games have been released yet. When each game launches on Google Play, this section will list exactly what that game collects, including any analytics, crash reporting, advertising or in-app purchase services it uses, and that will match the game's Data safety section on Google Play. We will not add a game to this page with data practices that differ from what is written here.

How long we keep it

Founder list and waitlist emails: until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete them. Closed-test emails: until the test ends, then deleted unless you also joined the founder list. Analytics: aggregated, with no personal identifiers.

Your choices and rights

Email scott@fivesquare.pro to see what we hold about you, correct it, or have it deleted. We reply within 30 days. Every email we send has an unsubscribe link. You can clear the game data on your device at any time by clearing this site's data in your browser. Depending on where you live (for example under the GDPR in Europe or state laws in the US such as California's CCPA), you may have further rights, and we will honour them.

Children

This website and our games are not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has signed up, email us and we will delete it.

Changes

If we change this policy we update the date at the top of this page. For significant changes, we will email the people on our lists before they take effect.
